Awarding The Sir Michael Marshall Award for Sustainability in Aviation
Cambridge City Airport were proud to award the Sir Michael Marshall Award for Sustainability in Aviation to pioneering company, Faradair at the prestigious Air Charter Excellence Awards last week for their efforts in designing a true net zero capable aircraft.
The Air Charter Association welcomed more than 400 guests to the Hilton Metropole in Brighton to celebrate the presentation of a set of awards that are very hotly contested by all areas of the industry, with the event attracting guests from all over the world.
What made this an even more special event was the announcement of the Sir Michael Marshall Award for Sustainability in Aviation, which Kevan Craske, Director of Cambridge City Airport, was proud to award to pioneering company Faradair, for designing a true net zero capable aircraft.
Craske said:
“I’m incredibly proud to award the Sir Michael Marshall Award to Faradair, who have created a 21st century electric aircraft design that delivers more flight capability than any ‘wing and tube’ asset in the market today, the BEHA (Bio Electric Hybrid Aircraft).“A quiet aircraft with true utility capability for both passenger and cargo operations and most importantly, low cost to operate and maintain. We’d love to see these flying in and out of Cambridge City Airport in the near future!”
The Air Charter Association honoured the late Sir Michael Marshall with a posthumous award to recognise his considerable impact across all areas of the aviation industry throughout his lifetime.
